I filled in at the last minute for an artist whose painting was accidentally ruined right before the charity auction. She was out of town at an art show and unable to fix it or repaint it in time for the auction.

Twelve paintings from twelve artists were needed for this fundraiser, because the images of the pet portraits would be used in a calendar and deck of playing cards to be sold as part of the fundraiser, which included a silent auction, live auction of artwork, and an online auction.

I painted these two charming pups in one afternoon and was happy to learn that my painting sold. The auction was a big hit, and the proceeds will go to help pay for medical expenses for rescue dogs at Hood River Adopt-a-Dog (HRAD). The average sale price for the artwork was $550.
